TopBuyReview started because we were frustrated with the state of tool reviews online. Every "best SEO tools" article ranked on Google was either written by someone who'd never used the tool, or it was clearly ranking whoever paid the highest affiliate commission at the top. The actual quality of the tool? Barely considered.

We decided to build something different: a site where every review is based on real, hands-on testing. We pay for our own subscriptions. We use these tools on real projects — client sites, our own properties, test domains. When we say "Semrush's site audit found 340 broken links on a 15,000-page e-commerce site," that's because it actually happened in our workflow.

How We Make Money

Let's be transparent: TopBuyReview earns revenue through affiliate links. When you click a link to a tool and sign up, we may earn a commission. This doesn't cost you anything extra — the price is the same whether you use our link or not.

Here's what's important: affiliate commissions don't influence our rankings or recommendations. We earn commissions from nearly every tool we review, so we have no financial incentive to rank one above another. Our recommendations are based on testing, data quality, and value for money. Period.

Our review process — testing, evaluating, and rating tools

Our Review Process

Every tool we review goes through the same process:

  1. Sign up and pay — We purchase a subscription with our own money. No free accounts, no "review copies."
  2. Use it for at least 2 weeks — On real projects, not a quick tour of the dashboard.
  3. Test specific claims — If a tool says it has "the largest keyword database," we verify it. If it claims "99.9% uptime," we monitor it.
  4. Compare against alternatives — Every tool is evaluated in context of what else is available at that price point.
  5. Write honestly — Including what we don't like. A review that only says positive things is an ad, not a review.
